No. The city is served by Chania and Heraklion airports, roughly 72 and 84 kilometres away respectively. Transfers and intercity buses are therefore part of arrival planning.
Its walkable Venetian and Ottoman old town, the Fortezza above the harbour and the long sandy beach east of the centre. Bookable trips add Arkadi, Eleftherna, Margarites, Preveli and the Cretan gorges.
